The weather is finally starting to get nice here in Santa Barbara. The clouds
that have been covering the beaches are no longer staying around until the evening, and are
burning off in the early morning. This improvement in the weather is a sure sign
that summer is almost over. Soon the kids will be going back to school and people
will start getting serious again about whatever it is that people are supposed to get serious about.
This week we have a good middle of the month site which features part one of a great article by
Ali Lister exploring the many different ways that Fusion users can integrate photo galleries
into their websites. Steve Hall has another article in his marketing series, and our programming
gurus have blessed us with a number of component updates.
For those of you who are looking forward to a new component, the good news is that Nathan and the gang
here at coolmaps.com have spent much of the summer working on a major overhaul of our component
building blocks that will significantly streamline the process of component creation. At first
it will be just one of those behind-the-scenes kind of things that is not noticeable to users.
But in a short while users will start to see
- improvements in ease-of-use
- new cutting-edge components
- exciting revisions to existing components
Component Ideas Wanted ... Dead or Alive
While we already have three very cool top secret components in the works, we are itching to hear
from you with your ideas. Is there something you have seen on another site that you just can't figure
out how to do in Fusion? Is there some task in Fusion that just takes too much time and concentration?
Or, do you just want to email us to say hi or to tell us what a great job we are doing? If you answered
"yes" to one or more of these questions, please go to our
on-line suggestions form
Happy last days of summer!
