coolmaps.com annouces support of NAS

(July 27. 1999)

Santa Barbara, Calif., July 29, 1999 - coolmaps.com, inc. (NOYDB:CMAP) today announced that it will be releasing a suite of components that support NetObjects Authoring Server (NAS), a powerful collaborative Intranet building solution, to simplify user management and access rights to the corporate Intranet.

The drag-and-drop components will allow NAS developers to easily add functionality to their sites. The components, many of which are now available for Netobjects Fusion 4.0, will be fully optimized to run in the NAS environment. The components will enable the creation of Rollover buttons, dropdown lists, pop-up windows, and rotating text boxes. They will also create static site-maps, and help create consistent site-wide navigation.

"As the leading component developer for NetObjects Fusion 4.0, we felt NAS was a natural place for us to expand," said Peter Sklar, President of coolmaps.com. "NAS and Fusion are very different with regard to the development environments, but the overall goal of both products is to create great websites. In that area, our tools help emormously."

coolmaps.com inc. currently sells 29 components for NetObjects Fusion 4.0. They are distributed through its Coolmaps Components Club and through online reseller Digital River. Customers of coolmaps.com include IBM, Oracle, Disney, Elektra Records, Novell, Citicorp, Nations Bank, and Boeing, to name a few.

"Tony Bennet is also a member," said Mr. Sklar, " but we don't think it is the same one."

NetObjects Authoring Server (NAS) delivers the best solution for collaborative Intranet building that allows workgroups to spontaneously and easily create an Intranet that shares valuable corporate data across the enterprise. The NAS solution enables teams to collaborate across various roles and responsibilities by providing control of the web production process and empowering content owners who have different skill sets. Customers of NAS include Bell Atlantic Network Integration, Cellular One (Bay Area), Travelers Life and Annuity, Thomas Cook, and VLSI Technology.

coolmaps.com would like to hear from people interested in beta testing these components. All interested persons should contact nasbeta@coolmaps.com.
