FauxGraphic is a NetObjects Fusion v4/5/MX/7 component you can use to create graphical looking objects out of simple text. One of the many uses of FauxGraphic is that you can place it in the masterborder and have it create text-based banners for every page. This is a good way to reduce page download time.

The FauxGraphic comes with many different “Faux-Styles” to select from. Some styles give you the choice of different shapes and colors. You can also create your own “Faux-Style” which can give your websites a consistent graphical look-and-feel. Once a style is made, you won’t need to open up PhotoShop every time there is a change in the content of the site.

Since the FauxGraphic is text-based, you can use it to create graphical looking objects for NetObjects Fusion banners – even put a dynamic banner on a Fusion stacked page! The FauxGraphic is also great for displaying dynamic information like Cold Fusion(CF) Tags and JavaScript output. Just enter the CF Tag right into the property palette. When the page comes up, it will look as if you created a custom image on the fly.
