The Internet is about interactivity. If all you do is present your user with stuff, then you are no better off than .... well, television.
Getting information from your user, such as feedback, orders, requests and suggestions is very important. The easiest way to get information is to place a FORM on the page with fields for the user to fill in and a SUBMIT button for the user to push when done.
Once the FORM input is submitted, it is up to the webserver to handle it. On sophisticated sites, the information is placed in a database, analyzed, and put into fancy graphs that are presented at the next board meeting.
But on many sites, the FORM information is put in an email and mailed to the site's administrator by a program like FormMail or coolmaps.com's ClubMailer. Then, if this person has time (which he/she usually doesn't), the information is input into a spreadsheet either by cut-and-paste or by hand.

InForm lets you use the coolmaps.com server to store the FORM information in our database (privacy assured) until you are ready to download it. And when you do download it, the information comes in a nice clean format that opens up easily in a spreadsheet programs, like Microsoft Excel.
