MetaTagger
parses your site and generates custom keywords for each
page. It then inserts them in the head of each page as Meta
keywords - all with the check of one box!
MetaTagger
is a Post Publish component and is enabled in the Publish
> Set Up > Components dialogue.
I
only see an off/on option for MetaTagger - can I control which
keywords are included/excluded?
Yes!
To get the best performance it's best to edit both the include.txt
and exclude.txt files. The exclude.txt file
is located in your components/coolmaps directory. The MetaTagger
will create an include.txt file and place it in the
directory of the site nod file the first time the site is
published. Both are text files that can be edited in Notepad.
The
exclude.txt file already contains common words and
characters that are not valuable as keywords.
If
you find the MetaTagger is including words that are not valuable,
simply add these words to the exclude.txt file, one
word per line as shown.
By
default the include.txt file includes 'coolmaps.com'
- to remove this, open the include.txt file located
in the site's Preview directory and delete it!
MetaTagger
is also integrated with StarSearch, with both configured from
the one palette.
