While web pages are open 24 hours a day, your business may
not be and static web pages cannot reflect this. OnTime allows
you to show different pages or images at different times of
the day, on different days of the week.
What do you mean by different pages?
Just as ScreenDoor redirects your users to pages depending upon
their browser-type, OnTime redirects your users to pages depending
upon the time or day. You can create a Monday page, a Tuesday page,
etc... and OnTime will send your users to the appropriate page. So,
if you are doing a website for your school cafeteria, you can create
one page for each days menu and automatically link over to that page
for the appropriate day of the week. This way you don't have to show
users the entire week's menu all at once, and it can save you time since
you won't need to update your page everyday.
OnTime can make your site look dynamic and smart. You can create a
front page for every day that promotes a different product or aspect of your
business. It may even keep your users coming back.
What do you mean by different images?
Even though your website is up and running, your business is not
able to take phone calls and support questions. So, you can use
OnTime to post an image that says "open for business" or "gone fishing".
The images will appear according to a schedule that you define
ahead of time. OnTime lets you pinpoint times right down to the
minute. If you open at 8:45, enter 8:45! Because OnTime sets its
clock according to your time zone, your users will never get
frustrated by trying to reach you when you are not there.
Tips
- You
can set times for each day of the week, or you can choose
"weekdays" or "weekends" to set groups of days. If your
store hours are the same every week day, you can enter one
time event instead of five.
- Not
only can you set different images according to time, but
you can set different links as well. The "open-for-business"
graphic can link to you phone number, while the "closed"
can link to a email form.
