Lemme
See!!
Now,
before we go playing around with this great new background,
let's do an SOS! Also, save your
image again but in either a .gif or .jpg format so it's readable
by the browser.
Now,
for the fun part! Try your background image/s on an actual
web page and see how it turned out. You can even go ahead
and drop your logo into the page if you want!
Here's
how The KROW's looks:

Pretty
sharp....just like Mr. Bigexec wanted! Now that yo've learned
about backgrounds, take time to play around with some different
creations yourself! Here's a few other ideas which will help
you make more:
- For
background with a left border: Start with a new image sized
to 1024 pixels wide and 20 pixels high. Create a "left"
border of color or texture that is about 100 pixels wide
(makes space for buttons or links to go on).
- For
a solid color or textured background: If it's just a basic,
browser safe color, then simply program it into the page.
But, if you need a more specific color, create a new image
sized to 30x30 pixels (or smaller if you can) and simply
"fill" the new image with your chosen color. You can do
the same for a texture as well.
- For
patterned background: First gauge the size of the pattern
or image you want to use. Add white space around the pattern
if you don't want the image repeated too many times on the
page.
- Experiment
with different ideas! Just remember try to keep your background
image a small file size!
Knowing
that Mr. Bigexec is anxiously awaiting to see his logo on
a web page, next week we'll get busy making everything else
we need for it. We'll create matching buttons, lines, and
bullets, and then see how to put it into a NetObjects Fusion
Site Style!
