Lucky
for you, you're not on Mr. Bigexec's Marketing Crew, so you
won't be one of the people trying to figure out how to put
all those (rather odd) products together in some sort of useful
way. So, let's get down to doing his images!
Remember,
you're going to be using your Paint Shop Pro and your Blade
Pro hand-in-hand. Each of these has different features which
will help you attain the "looks" you need. Filters take your
current image, and apply other "looks" to it such as textures,
colors, and surfaces. In Blade Pro, filters are called "Presets".
These presets have the actual filter file (of a .q9q extension)
and many come with additional images to help apply its achieved
look. So, let's start with the hubcaps.
In
your PSP, with your Blade Pro loaded and ready to go, create
a new image of a circle and fill with white color (all the
images will be filled with white). Now, in the menu, click
"Image", Plug-in Filters, "Flaming Pear", then "Blade Pro".
Browse
through the filter files until you find the one called "amr
real chrome" and apply it to your image. Play with the different
adjustments until you get a bevel you want. Click "OK" and
PRESTO....instant hubcap! You see? Beats pixel-pushing any
day, doesn't it?
Your white circle with
the "real chrome" filter applied.
Once
you clicked "OK" in your Blade Pro, the popup window disappeared
and brought you back to your image in PSP. So in your PSP,
now apply a drop shadow to the "hubcap" to make it "stand
off the page". When you've done that, you can copy and paste
3 more, adjust their placement and now you have a full set
of bright, shiny new hubcaps for Mr. Bigexec. (Rumor has it
he uses these same hubcaps on his Pinto.)
COOL
KROW CLUE
Also in your Paint Shop Pro is one of The KROW's favorite
features. It's the "Sharpen" tool. In the menu, go to "Image",
and then "Sharpen". This little goodie does wonders to any
image that needs a further "lift" .....(now where's that pic
of Mr. Bigexec?)
"A
Matter of Personal Choice"
Ok,
so maybe lizard skin and pearl-studded purses aren't your
bag (was that one intended?), but then again, Mr. Bigexec's
wife isn't either (whew!), so onto making the Ladies' purses.
First,
the pearl-studded purse. Back in your PSP, do a new image
of a rounded-square (fill with white). Pull your Blade Pro
and apply the "1d-iri-scales" filter. This one's a breeze
since you shouldn't have to change any of the adjustors. But,
if you want, adjust the size of the "pearls".
This adjusts the size
of the "pearls"
With
the look how you want it, click "OK" to return to your PSP.
Add a drop shadow to the purse. To do the shoulder strap,
simply use your PSP to "paint" a strap (in white). Select
it and do the same Blade Pro routine as you did for the purse
part and then add a drop shadow.
Now,
you're going to create the "exotic lizard skin" purse in the
same way. But, instead of applying the iri filter, apply the
Blade Pro "amr asparagus" filter to both the purse and a shoulder
strap. Not much adjustment is needed here either, but you may
want to bump up the "Tarnish" to give a bit more depth to
the "scales" of the lizard skin. So....how do your's look?

"The
Pieces Come Together"
Let's
see.....Pintos, chrome hubcaps, pearls and lizard skin, and
RED LIPSTICK?!! (Let's just hope Mr. Bigexec never asks you
to paint his family portrait!) Well, in spite of the mental
picture that's coming together here, let's not forget, you've
got a PAYING job to do for Mr. Bigexec....and he wants Red
Lipstick......in a black lacquer case.....with gold trim.
Ok,
so this one is a cinch! First, the lipstick. Make a new image
and create a long, thin ellipse filled with white. In Blade
Pro apply the "1d-redlipstick" filter and click "OK". Now
make a new layer and create a long rectangle, filled with
white. Apply the "soewvcoal" filter and click "OK" in your
Blade Pro. Back in your PSP one more time, make a new layer
and create a small rectangle across the new black "case" (rectangle)
you just made, and fill with white. Apply the "goldshiney"
filter to it and click "OK" to finish up the Blade Pro. Now,
arrange the layers so the red "lipstick" is below the rest,
and the "gold trim" on the top. Then you can merge all the
layers, select them and add a drop shadow to them. If you're
not sure about the layers, open the native .psp file which
came in your zip, in your PSP and look there. All the layers
are included for all the images! How close did you come to
