"Ready,
Preset, Go!"
Now,
we're going to use the last blank image in your PSP as the
"testing ground" for configuring your Blade Pro Preset.
Make
a new "selection" on your blank, and fill it with solid white
(it doesn't matter what shape you choose, but it helps to
have "Antialiasing" checked on). Now, from the Menu, choose,
"Image", "Plug-In Filters", Flaming Pear", and then "Blade
Pro." The Blade Pro work environment opens up. Don't worry
about its current settings. You're going to change them!
In
Blade Pro, change the two currently loaded .bmp files
to the two you just made. It doesn't matter which bmp you
use in either position. Switch them around to see what different
effects you get. However, a good rule of thumb (who came up
with that expression anyway??!) is to use your "textured"
bmps in the top image placement and use the bottom for colorations.
Two
bmp files you change
Once
you've changed the two bmp files, go ahead and play! Make
adjustments to all the different options there are, until
you get the right "look" you want. When you're done, save
your new Preset by clicking the bottom "disc" button. Blade
Pro automatically saves the file in the correct format (just
make sure you also place this new file in your Blade Pro Environments
and Texture folder). That's all there is to it!
Once
you have the Preset developed, click "OK" in Blade Pro, and
it applies to your blank. Now you can go back to work in Paint
Shop Pro finishing your graphic. Paint Shop Pro even keeps
the image "selected" for further work you want to do on it.
Even better, Paint Shop Pro knows that "Undo" is our friend,
and if you don't like your new look applied to the image,
Paint Shop Pro lets you "undo" it right from the PSP Menu!
It couldn't be any simpler!
