Hands
on with WebVise Totality
The
first thing you notice about the WebVise suite is the funky
signature interface - it's great to see companies like AutoFX
creating something other than plain and dull menus - WebVise
is great eye candy! But let's get down to it and check out
each of the six WebVise components.
1.
Hybrid Web Safe Colors
The
Hybrid Web Safe Colors module is the dark horse of the suite.
A very easy to use tool but exceptionally useful! It is accessed
via the Filters menu in Photoshop.
It
allows you to expand the 216 color web safe palette to thousands
of colors. This is done by a clever mixing of the available palette.
All colors that are produced are websafe!
The
Hybrid Module displays 36 variations of the chosen color,
and the brightness slider can be dragged to create endless variations
- the chosen color can then be applied to your work.
The
coolest thing is that the Hybrid module is a great place to
explore color when you are looking for a new color scheme
- before long great colors are everywhere, all the time knowing
they are going to be web safe.
Yep,
this little fella is a cracker, and the WebVise GIF modules
use the same technology!
