“Ahoy, Captain!”
Any good commander will tell you, a mission can’t be accomplished with out a good support unit! The same goes for software products and the companies who produce them.
So far, Namo has done well in the support area. Though the company originated in Korea in 1995, they’ve done a good job breaking past the language barrier. The Help Files which come with WE4 are
comprehensive, well written and easy to understand. A big “atta-boy” in any new-software user’s book!
WE4 Help Files
Though the Namo web site has yet to put together an online forum or newsgroup for support, they do a good job at replying to emails.....usually within 24 or less. Additionally, Namo has support office set up
in various regions of the world such as Australia, France,German, Japan, Southest Asia, Spain, Scandinavia, and the U.S.(Texas).
All A’Shore That’s Goin’ A’Shore”
Namo’s WebEditor 4 seems to have popped up “out of no where” for many folks. In recent weeks, it’s surely been tested by some of the most technically demanding folks out there (not to mention being
compared to other products which do lead the market)!
From our little “tour”, WE4 seems to check out “OK”. We found some things to be a pleasant
surprise, and then some not so pleasant. Because its learning curve is short, and it’s well supported, WE4 is probably best suited for those who are just starting their webbing adventures.
Though WE4 is lacking in flexibility in some areas, for those who have a simple or small company web site they need to get up, this may be the right tool! Unlike some software, in which menu systems are so
convoluted its difficult to get through them all, WE3 is effective in managing data, and is a very “to the point” web building program.
Through the years, WE4 reports extensive growth to meet the need of its users and the
web dev community. And, though it still may not be of the caliber that some of the “big gun” web dev programs are, WE4 might be worth keeping an eye on. Recent teaming with major names in the industry,
may give Namo its Silver Star before it’s over
The KROW recommends Namo’s WE4 as an excellent tool for beginner and intermediate users of web dev, and for those who need to quickly create a small or medium sized business web site.
