PhotoShop Tutorial
Photoshop QuickNav :

At the bottom of the face, above the date window, there is text that reads “3ATM Swiss Quartz”. To create this, use the text tool and click right in the middle of where you want the “3ATM” to be. The settings you want to use in the text box are point-size = 5, leading = 6 (this controls vertical spacing), font = Verdana, alignment = Center (there are three icons on the right hand side of this box a left, right, and center). Now type in “3ATM”, hit return, and then type “swiss quartz”. While we’re working on the bottom, make the six that will become the date. The settings you want to use in the text box are point-size = 10, leading = 3, font = Verdana, alignment = Left. Position both of these layers where you want them with the multi-directional tool and arrow keys.

To make the date window, find the layer that has the face on it and select it so the paintbrush appears in the box to the left of the layer in the layers box. Load the selection you called face. Select copy and then paste, this will create a new layer that has a circle on it. The appearance of your watch should not change. Now deselect the circle. Load the selection you called ‘date’ and hit the ‘delete’ button. This will make a small hole that you won’t see just yet. Before you deselect the ‘date’ selection, choose a medium gray color and pick one of the selection tools. Right click inside the date window selection, and select ‘stroke’ from the box. Stroke it with one pixel on the center of the selection. In the layers box, right click on the layer that was created when you copied the face over and select ‘effects’. A drop shadow will appear. The settings that you want are 2 pixels deep and 2 pixels blurred. This will create the illusion of a hole (Fig. 3).
