Steve Hall has been plugging away at marketing design since his early 20's. His career began as a studio illustrator for a syndicate, followed by work with a great typographer. He graduated to agency studio assignments and then on to his own business at the tender age of 24.

Today at the slightly fermented age of 49 he credits the Internet with giving the graphic industry - and his enthusiasm for the design business - new life. He handles assignments for clients all over the country and practices what he preaches in these coolmaps columns.

His latest interest is learning about project management, which ranks in difficulty - in his own mind anyway - in the same stratosphere as sales and marketing.

He resides with his wife Susan, a landscape architect, and his 3 children on Merritt Island, Florida. He watches the Space Shuttle and Cape Canaveral rocket launches from his front porch [and his kids play soccer with the children of astronauts].
